Ford truck says hi.
Here’s the first engine I ever took apart and put back together! One of our assignments was to figure out what kind of engine ours was based on casting numbers and whatnot, and nobody would believe me when I figured out that it was a Ford Cologne V6. They all thought I was making that up and that the name was too stupid to be real, lol. I was kind of the weird kid in class, so this thing got tampered with A LOT. To this day, it is missing piston #5 because SOMEONE STOLE IT. We looked everywhere, but it was nowhere to be found. I also frequently found the crankcase stuffed with random tools for no reason, and at least one part got smashed when I wasn’t around. Oh, these poor motors...
Phoebe’s gleaming red innards...
This old Honda Odyssey’s engine bay features what I believe is the only exhaust manifold I’ve ever seen that warns you to KEEP YOUR HOT HANDS THE FRICK AWAY FROM THIS ENGINE!!!! Your steamy hands are far too warm. You don’t want to hurt the engine, do you?
This Chevy Malibu is in amazingly good shape for a survivor. The only flaws I’ve found are 1) a small, barely-noticeable ding in the driver-side door, 2) the orange reflector bolted to the same door, and 3) a small piece of missing trim at the base of the vinyl roof on the passenger side, revealing the ragged edge where the vinyl ends. That’s it. Otherwise, the car is perfect. Too bad the title’s missing...
“WOMEN’S IMAGING SHUTTLE of EXCELLENCE”. This Odyssey must’ve lead an interesting life...
The shop teacher has no less than three Ford Couriers. At least one of them is for sale, and I think he plans on flipping the other two as well. They’re quite charming little trucks.
Ford vs. Chevy!
The shop teacher plans on turning these into hot rods. The fenders have seen better days, but the bodies are quite solid. After seeing what the shop teacher’s custom ‘55 Chevy looks like, I imagine these are going to be pretty sweet one day.
These Cadillac Sevilles are V8, fwd. What I find interesting about them is that the V8 is mounted ahead of the front axle. So if you ever want to build a slightly crappy homemade mid-engine, V8 sports car, keep the Cadillac Seville drivetrain in mind!
I’m convinced that if you were to paint this exhaust manifold and make the raised bits chrome, it would look very Art-Deco. This might just be the most unintentionally pretty car part ever. My hands are probably too hot for it though...

Mmmm that would explain why my phone always gets so hot. Steamy. . .
I’ve got a gift for you. More at 10.
Glad things are finally working out on the T Bird front. Great ship vehicles too.

Kinda sad to see Phoebe’s older siblings languishing in a field... Someone must’ve put their hot, steamy hands on them. That’ll ruin any car...

were they not aware that Cologne (Köln) Germany existed?
it’s funny that my Ranger has a German engine and a French transmission.
But they “Germaned-up” the 4.0 even more when they converted it to OHC; they did it the same way Porsche did the first water cooled boxer and had to have front and rear timing chains. what a kludge of an engine.

You can get a title for that Malibu in VT through the mail and then retitle it in your state.

In other news, this was my last day of high school.
The birds are celebrating with me. They’ve all got party hats. Except Tyrone, he has a dunce cap. But that’s close enough.

They didn’t believe me that Cologne Germany was a real place either... Everyone just thought I was insane for a couple weeks XD

I told you to stay away from those birds. They’re a bad influence. But still, congratulations! Perhaps this is more fitting, since this is the only kind of bird you should be hanging out with.
Also, that is a seriously creepy gif that only gets creepier the longer you look at it. Like, why does it feel so corporate and lifeless? Still made me chuckle.

The nearby autobody shop has even more interesting stuff (the teacher has a thing for old Impalas), but it’s locked. Th ere’s usually at least a few interesting things going on in the shop.
